Well, what a day we have just had. A coach full of about 50 of us headed off from the studio to Lakeside, where we were part of the world’s biggest ‘Bring and Buy sale’ in aid of Blue Peter’s Mission nutrition.

When we arrived at the shopping centre we were placed in a fenced off area -reserved for us stars!- It was then time for the rehearsal so after setting up our stalls with all the goodies we had brought from home we met the celebrities who were helping out. Some of the ones we met were Same Difference, who came 3rd in X Factor 2007, Matt Willis from Busted, Connie Fisher winner of the BBC One show ‘ How do you Solve a problem like Maria’, Justin Fletcher cbeebies Mr Tumble, Timmy Mallet  from I’m a Celebrity get me out of here. Peter Purvis, one of the original Blue Peter presenters to name but a few.

Then the cameras started rolling and it was all go. Most if not all the children managed to get on television which is fantastic. However, us adults we not allowed to be seen which we all thought was rather mean as we were all Blue Peter fans when we were young!

All the children came away with their very own Blue Peter badge, and so did us parents!!
